SourceTree Inc. is a small software consultancy specializing in the area of Microsoft Technologies.  I launched SourceTree Inc. in 1996 after years of working for large consultancies such as AGS Information Services and later Keane.  Part of the reason for starting SourceTree was my frustration with the way so many of the large software consulting houses treated customers.  Software development is not a cookie cutter operation, no matter how hard various methodologies try to make it so.  Every engagement is unique and the solution must be tailored to the situation.

Over 27 years of software development have taught me several things:

• There are no free lunches, all decisions have consequences.
• There are no silver bullets that will make your problems go away with no effort.
• A one size fits all solution will almost never match your problem.
• All good intentions to the contrary, you never get a chance to go back and fix it later.
• There is no substitute for knowledge, experience, and hard work.

So what does that mean to you? When you engage SourceTree, I will not promise you miracle solutions. What we will do is work with you to develop a plan of execution tailored to your current situation. We will then execute that plan with full transparency to you. With no surprises at the end of the project.
